July 4 - Independence Day

Our popular culture celebrates its heroes every day and entertainment and sports figures usually are the chosen idols.  It is easy to lose sight of our real heroes.  Those that sacrifice in service to our country that enable us to enjoy our freedom to choose our heroes.  This freedom, my fellow patriots, is often purchased with a very high price. The real heroes of our American culture go largely unnoticed -- service men, women, and their families who live each day with fear, anxiety, and bold pride.  This July 4, I encourage each of you to celebrate freedom tempered with the gentle reminder of the high price paid which enables us to do so.   Enjoy the holiday festivities in celebrating the greatest country in the world with your friends and family. Give hugs and say, "I love you."  Let Freedom Ring!
