The recent fundraiser at Noodles & Company was a great evening, even if the weather did not cooperate! It rained very heavily the second half of the evening. The event raised $143.32 for Operation Helmetliner which makes items to keep our troops warm during the winter months while serving in war.
 
Noodles & Co. was very supportive of our organization and allowed us to have a display table for patrons to see what a helmet liner is. They also allowed us to leave promotional materials on each table.
 
Those from the Springfield area that are interested in helping may call or visit Sandy's Sewing Center and help press, mark, sew, serge, or do quality contol on the neck coolers. PLEASE come. You are WELCOME to help all day or just an hour. We are just sewers who like to sew and do something to make a soldier's day a little better. We sew on the third Wednesday of the month and May 27th is Sew-In Day! Sandy's phone number is 217-726-5886. Call for more information!
